Long ago was the time when Italy, and Maniago in particular, was a continuous source of always new and high quality automatic knives for collectors. In more recent years production, albeit of good quality, has been focused on the same models, that is to say those that were designed in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Instead of keeping on living on this tradition, Due Buoi, one of the first cutlery to open in Maniago in 1884, is creating an entirely new tradition, by combining the experience of the past with new technologies and ideas, with the goal of making top-quality switchblade knives. This effort, in just one year, brought to the birth of two lines: the Forged Stiletto (with it's companion, the Forged Thorn Stiletto) and the Forged Lever Lock.

The key features of the Forged Stiletto, the first fully forged stiletto in the world, are:

• Fully Forged blade: AISI 440C (58/59 HRC)
• Blade thickness: 3.5 mm
• Fully Forged solid bolsters: AISI 420 Steel, or Titanium
• Choice of natural materials for the handle: stag, horn, honey horn, sambar stag, tuja briarwood, asian buffalo horn.
• Choice of Standard, Bayonet, Dagger and Damascus Bayonet stainless steel blade
• Button-operated blade unlocking mechanism
• Fully automatic switchblade knife
• 9" (open) long and 150-180 grams heavy (depending on scale material)
